Privacy Policy

The short version

  • ✓ Your order history, buyer info, and evidence photos stay on your computer. We never upload them.
  • ✓ We collect your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account. That's it.
  • ✓ Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number.
  • ✓ We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't use tracking pixels.
  • ✓ You can delete everything by uninstalling the app.

What ShowFlow stores on your computer

ShowFlow is a desktop application. The data it generates lives locally on your machine, not in our cloud.

Order & show data

Buyer usernames, item names, prices, show history, and tag numbers are stored in a local SQLite database.

Evidence photos

Package photos captured during packing are saved as JPEG files on your computer. Photos travel from your phone to your computer over your local Wi-Fi network only — they are never routed through ShowFlow's servers.

Automatic backups

ShowFlow automatically backs up your database locally. The 5 most recent backups are kept.

Whatnot session

When you use the built-in browser to access Whatnot, your Whatnot login session is stored locally by Electron (Chromium). ShowFlow does not read, transmit, or store your Whatnot credentials. You log in to Whatnot directly through the embedded browser the same way you would in Chrome.

What we collect on our servers

Email address

When you join our waitlist or create a ShowFlow account, we store your email address. We use it to send you product updates, your license key, and important account information. We do not send marketing email without your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. ShowFlow never receives or stores your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. Stripe provides us with a transaction record and your email address. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

License key

We store your license key and associated plan type (Starter, Pro, or Pay Per Show) on our servers in order to validate your subscription status when the app checks in. We do not store your order history or evidence photos.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
  • We do not run advertising or use ad tracking networks.
  • We do not embed analytics scripts that track your behavior across the web.
  • We do not access your evidence photos, order history, or buyer data — it stays on your machine.
  • We do not read your Whatnot messages or account information beyond what is visible in the embedded browser session on your own computer.

Data retention and deletion

Your local data (orders, photos, backups) is retained until you delete it or uninstall ShowFlow. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your data folder — you can find and delete it at the paths listed above if you want a complete removal.

To request deletion of your account and email address from our servers, contact us at support@getshowflow.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Security

Your local data is only as secure as your computer. We recommend standard practices: disk encryption (FileVault on Mac, BitLocker on Windows), a strong login password, and keeping your OS up to date. ShowFlow does not encrypt the local database or photo files — they are plain SQLite and JPEG files readable by any program on your machine.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ShowFlow after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
